About the role
3S Network is seeking a Fiber Engineer to support the design and engineering of outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) fiber networks for our wireless carrier and OEM clients. This role works closely with our construction and program management teams to move fiber projects from design through build.
Responsibilities
- Design fiber routes and prepare construction-ready prints and redlines
- Perform make-ready engineering and support permitting submissions
- Coordinate with utility companies, municipalities, and construction crews on route approvals
- Review as-built documentation for accuracy and carrier compliance
- Support fiber-to-the-site designs for macro, small cell, and densification projects
- Collaborate with RF and construction teams to align fiber builds with overall project timelines
Qualifications
- Experience in OSP/ISP fiber design or telecom civil engineering
- Proficiency with fiber design/mapping software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bentley, ArcGIS, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with make-ready engineering and utility permitting processes
- Understanding of NESC and relevant local construction codes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project routes at once
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
